Over the past few years, fans of 16 and Pregnant have tragically said goodbye to several of the shows’ stars.
Recently, viewers learned that 16 and Pregnant season five alum Autumn Crittendon—who was also known as Autumn Oxley—died at the age of 27.
Virginia’s Henrico County Police Division confirmed to E! News officers responded to a report of a medical emergency on July 20.
“Once on scene, officers and fire personnel located an adult female unresponsive within the residence,” police continued. “Members from Henrico Fire attempted life-saving measures however they were not effective.”
The police said Autumn was pronounced dead at the scene and that they’re classifying the incident as a death investigation—adding that “detectives are working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on this case to determine the exact cause and manner of death.”
In 2014, Autumn was featured on the MTV reality series, which followed her journey to welcoming son Drake with then-boyfriend Dustin Franklin. According to her Facebook, she described herself as a “mother of two little boys Drake and Luke and a beautiful little girl Abigail."
Following news of her death, her sister paid tribute to her “dearest baby sister.”
"You were robbed of your life at such a tender age," she wrote in her July 21 post. "You left before anyone could tell you goodbye. How much we love you. How amazing you are and how proud we are of you for staying sober through some of the toughest parts of your life, how far you’ve came from where you were, how thankful we are to have had all these years with you, how proud of you we are as a mother, how grateful we are for the 3 tiny parts of your heart that are still walking this earth."
Autumn's death comes nearly five months after fellow 16 and Pregnant alum Sean Garinger died at age 20 in an ATV accidet.
"He pulled [in] front of me to park the ATV and the ground gave way from all the rain and mud," his mom Mary Hobbs told The Sun about his February passing, adding the vehicle flipped and "crushed" his skull.
In 2022, fans also mourned the loss of 16 and Pregnant’s Jordan Cashmyer at age 26 and, six years prior, season two alum Valerie Fairman died.
While these stars’ journeys heartbreakingly came to an end at an early age, fans have continued to follow the lives of many others from the shows.
